DescriptionDescription

Introduction

V series Mechanically actuated piston valves are designed for mounting on the meter outlet to completely shutoff the liquid flow with easy
operation under any pressure system. The valve can be operated manually or connected via a
mechanical linkage to a preset counter on the meter for single stage closure or two-stage
closure to eliminate hydraulic shock. The valve is indexable in 90o turn for up & down or side
facing outlet. 1.5”, 2″,3″,4″ available for option.

K Series Air Activated Differential Check Valves are
installed at the outlet of the meter, which is designed to stop the flow of liquid whenever air is present to
ensure accurate measurement.

Differential Valve

Differential/Air Check valves are placed on the outlet side of a meter system and work in conjunction with the system’s air/vapor eliminator to stop the flow of product through the meter until the air/vapor is eliminated. In order to do this, the air/vapor eliminator and the valve are piped together at installation.
Differential/Air Check valves are normally closed, but when the pump starts and pushes product into the system, the valve spring will give way to the flow pressure. In order to keep the valve closed when air/vapor is being expelled from the air/vapor eliminator, the air/vapor from the air/vapor eliminator is routed through the piping to the back side of the valve spring. The combined force of the expelled air/vapor and the strength of the spring keep the valve closed until the air/vapor is eliminated.

Materials of Construction

Aluminum
Standard 2″ aluminum valve is spring loaded and designed to fail closed.
Provides a constant 15 PSI differential pressure and controls flow when vapor is sensed.
The 511-series differential valve is available with an adjustable differential pressure setting of 5 to 16 PSI.
Available in ductile iron or cast steel in sizes of 1.5″,2″flanges.
Typically used with our MS-series meters and accessories.

Printer

Two models are available: Accumulative and Zero Start.
The Accumulative Printer, before delivery, prints the total remaining from the previous delivery. After delivery, the total accumulated at that point is printed. The amount just delivered is found by subtracting the previous total from the accumulated total.
Zero start models first print zeros. The total printed after delivery is the actual amount of the transaction.

Preset

The rugged two-stage preset quantity control for high speed volume deliveries.
Counts down from a preset quantity. First stage knockoff slows delivery before the second stage shuts off the delivery system at zero. The first stage (or slowdown) knockoff can be field adjusted to calculate 3 to 9, or from 10 to 90 in increments of 10.
Preset number can be easily set with one hand. Stop button provides immediate positive control of shutoff, for emergency shutdown. Interlocks block system until pump valve is opened.
Mechanical knockoff is standard, electrical knockoff optional. Available in 4 or 5 figures. The Mechanical Register counter is required for operation.
